came across tis really meaningful story & thought i shld really share it with the class..

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?"

Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this. He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill.

He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air. Well, he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?"

Still the hands went into the air. My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson.
No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you.

The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE. You are special - Don't EVER forget it. Count your blessings, not your problems.

There are many times when we feel worthless, but the vital part is to pick yourself up and make yourself useful. It's not as though failing something equates to losing everything.

BOAT BACK. we made friends with the pulau ubin chief. so we didnt have to pay for the boat ride back. he captained us back. sweet guyfirst stop at mainland singapore.

Whee! i am 17!
i am finally 17! nah.. wont write much abt my bday.. photos will do the speaking. was blindfolded and kidnapped to PULAU UBIN. (they came up with the idea cos they wanted to give me a break frm my hectic scedule and my family commitments. real sweet of them. first time in the year i felt free! like i was actually normal again. C= )

had a bbq
then went night trekking. saw many many stars. twinkle twinkle. and played with SPARKLERs
left the island at 11?
missed the last train home so took 14 frm tanah merah to celenti
like 60 odd stops? haha
then had supper and cabbed home.. reached home ard 3am?
yupe.tt's my bday! hahaha.

hahaha.. and i myself didnt get a cake.. my cake was carrot cake. haha. the black one. BUDGET
anw.. first year i didnt cut cake with my family. GUILTY. heh. but ya.. i had my family cake today (9th)

Crazy shopping trip to Bugis & town! alot of things happened along the way...

No 1.

we meet at 10am at Bugis. where got shop open so early one??? lol! its cos Sharm have to go back home early..we kept blaming her for meeting so early! lol! poor Sharm! haha!Bugis somemore! so i mus travel all the way from Bukit Batok to Bugis...meaning i have to wake up early! dunno why we didnt meet at Jurong East MRT instead...den no need wake up so early! =X i mean...it's like we all live at ard Jurong tat area....den after i reached...saw LeAnn..LaLa turned up a bit later..but 3 of us are on time! unlike some *ahem ahem* ppl lol! the rest late...haha...Sally best...she 10am plus den wake up! hahaha! so she later den going to join us....

No. 2

& cos for some reason...Jef said tat we shld all have smthg red on us...LeAnn, being too lazy to accessorise herself, jus wore a red shirt! haha! by herself! none of us wore red! lol!

No 3.

by the time all of us gather tgt (even though some were late)...is only 10.30am plus lorz..so we went Mac there & rot for a while...lol!

No 4.

Being the only guy, Jef got our attention when it comes to buying clothes. with our professional help, Jef managed to buy nice clothes. hahaha

No 5.

WenTing & Lydia..haizz...those two...buy accessories...almost throughout the whole shopping trip! tats all they bought! lol! buy until they're broke ...den WenTing still need to borrow $$ from us! cos she really really love the earrings! tats when we were at Bugis Street.

No 6.

LeAnn gave us a time limit. can only stay at Bugis Street until 3pm. so tat we wont over-shop! haha! cos we still want to go town!by lunch time, WenTing & Lydia already broke le..lol! so they want smthg cheap for lunch! so we went Long John Silver....after tat we went Bugis Street...tats when WenTing started borrowing $$ from us! lol! Sally joined us at Bugis Street later

No 7.

we were right on schedule! lol! took the bus to town! when we reach Wisma WenTing wanted to go 'Forever 21' den we were trying to stop her from looking at accessories! lol! she v sad...cos she cannot buy...broke...think she cant wait till she get her pay! lol!

No 8.

LeAnn made a card for Jef & Sally actually went to town to get a bdae present for Jef first b4 coming to Bugis to meet us....she could have stayed there den she dun haf to travel to & fro since we gg town anyway...she got him ties! i think Jef quite pleased lorz...cos he never had ties b4...so shld be quite happy! =D

No 9.

took pictures! lol! WenTing wanted to take pictures outside those branded stores & pose! lol! We all took pictures in front of the 'British India' words there...den they continue taking pictures..mimic the models in the photos..copy their poses! lol! even outside Paragon..they WenTing also wanna take pictures & copy those stick-men poses! lol! LeAnn went nuts took the pictures with her! lol!

No 10.

we wanted to go Far East to surprise HongYue & after tat we thought we'll go down to Heeren to surprise Adelyn too...we shld have called HongYue first..cos when we reached Far East...LeAnn den realised tat there are many shops! so quite impossible to look for her since we have absolutely no idea which shop she working in! plus...our feets were aching! when we call HongYue..she said tat she already got transferred to Marina for 2 days..oh man...wat luck! den we ask wat about Adelyn..den she say Adelyn not working..wat luck....

on a concluding note, the shopping trip was fun & crazy! okay..end here...v tired...update again soon!

i am soooo restless. some of you might know.. i am having a "save-money" week.. which means.. no unnecessary spending! mission accomplished i must say.. but.. I AM BORED TO TEARS
sorry for taking up space in this blog for this meaningless entry.. but i am just soooo bored!!!!
i borrowed a few dvds here and there to pass my time.. but after those 2hrs or so..BAH. back to boredom.
ohoh! if you all can.. go catch "closer" borrow the dvd or something. it's pretty good. it's R21 tho... i think. starrs julia roberts,jude law,natalie portman,clive owen. sounds tempting alr yea? has hidden meanings.. so rather witty. a pleasant watch.
yea.. so what else did i catch? mr and mrs smith ( think they look good tgt. jolie and pitt) hmm.. i caught whole 10 yards (nc-16.. LEGAL) taxi was hilarious.laughed my lungs out. what else? panic room..goodwill hunting...
yet to watch million dollar baby tho.. i'll catch it ovr the weekends. ohman.. i sound like i terribly need a life.heh. BUT I SAVED MONEY!!
I WORKED TOO! earned 25bucks. it's the coolest and easiest way anyone can earn 25buckeroos. hahaha.
I WORKED FOR THE ASIAN TV AWARDS.
i just had to act as red carpet fans.
take pics with celebs(WOW? okla.. mostly taiwan/hongkong/indian/thailand celebs.. they dont speak my tongue..but we had local based too.. denise?colby?may&choy zoe..ben yeo..irene ang..gurmit..you all get the drift la) I AM NOT BRAGGING. seriously,not. heh =p
i got to sit with the celebs during the show, we're sit fillers, so the audience looks full. quite dumb. heh
ya.. and more pics!! and i shook hands with celebs. i am nv washing my hands again.

ok.. got carried away.. but dont "wow" people.. other than that.. my week crawled past.. funny but i kinda miss touch now (oh.. we had a week break frm touch..explains my boredom)

but ya! ok. i spent like 10mins here alr. i should now go and slp. yay! finally.. the week's almost over!! just one more day.. I CAN DO IT!
